#Mozambiquemassacre In response to the attacks in northern #Mozambique, we’ve launched a soccer league for refugee kids who have lost their homes & families. We’re at 17 teams & counting. The project will culminate in a CB Christmas tournament for 500 kids Here’s how you can help... For starters, we’re working to give every kid a new soccer ball for Christmas. We also receiving donations to hire a coaching/ mentoring team that will continue to assist these kids and help them rise above. Devastating news in Mozambique, Africa: 50 people beheaded on a #soccer field by Islamic insurgent terrorists this past weekend. Soccer is a beautiful game. It’s meant to bring people together. A soccer pitch is not a killing ground. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of the Cabo Delgado Province. This cannot go unnoticed. Family & friends have been brutally murdered—leaving children traumatized. Over the past 3 weeks, we’ve worked with our team on the ground in Mozambique to organize a refugee soccer league that is providing support & helping children cope during this difficult time.
