For years we’ve operated the CBFC program on borrowed ground and good faith, gathering five hundred children wherever there was room to play. Then the Mozambican government handed us fifteen acres of our own, and with it, permission to dream at full size. The CBFC Academy is what we intend to build on that land: not just a field, but a place a child can belong to.

We picture two true soccer pitches where the game is taught with the seriousness it deserves, and a pergola beside them where that same focus turns toward reading, mentorship, and leadership. We see clean water drinking fountains and a gravity-fed well, because a child cannot learn or play while thirsty. We see latrines and proper buildings; the things that tell a child this place was built to last, and that they were worth building it for.

But the heart of the dream isn’t the structures; it’s who walks through them, and who they become. The children we mentor today are the lawyers, doctors, and engineers of tomorrow.

We already know our five hundred. We have also identified 2,300 more children within reach of this land, ready to be coached, taught, mentored, and believed in. The land is ours and the vision is clear;  what stands between this dream and three thousand children is the support to build it. With partners who believe in this work, the CBFC Academy becomes ground of our own, built for good, open to every child who shows up ready to grow.
