CBFC Soccer/Mentoring

The Charity Ball Football Club provides mentoring and support opportunities for refugee and vulnerable kids. By leveraging the game of soccer, students have the opportunity to train, compete, learn, and grow.

Our primary focus is kids living in the Cabo Delgado province of Mozambique (Africa).

The Crisis

Radical insurgent attacks on local villages in northern Mozambique, Africa have left over 750,000 people without a home or family. Seeking refuge, many have flooded into Pemba, the capital of Cabo Delgado province. Without access to food, shelter, and support, many of these children are left suspended in dire need.

Our Response

Charity Ball has collaborated with government officials to develop a refugee soccer/mentoring program (CBFC). Coach/mentors provide game-changing assists to kids in the form of clean drinking water, education, life-skills and opportunities to rise above.

The need is pressing. Together we can do something about it.

CBFC 4 Big Assists

The core components of our programming consist of four strategic assists:

Ensuring that every participant has access to food, shelter, clean drinking water, safety, and education
Providing an inclusive context where every participant feels valued and a sense of belonging
Teaching and transposing basic life skills
Providing leadership opportunities where participants can not only be beneficiaries, but co-creators of solutions
