Ella’s Bat Mitzvah Project
Many women around the world are prohibited from playing soccer or maybe just unable because of lack of equipment or space. This is not okay because soccer is not something that should be for the richer countries or families, but for everyone to enjoy and have fun. Everyone should have access to soccer.
For me, soccer is not just a sport, but a way to express myself. Soccer is my way of getting outside and being a kid. Running around having fun with my friends and enjoying the time we have as a child. Even more than that, soccer has allowed me to grow up to be the person I am today. It has taught me how to think smart, look at everything in a new perspective, and how to be a leader.
As a soccer player, it is upsetting that many women around the world do not have the privilege of playing soccer. So many girls do not get the opportunity to have fun and enjoy their childhood or maybe even adulthood. Soccer should not be a privilege, it should be available to anyone and everyone who wants to play soccer.
For my Bat mitzvah project, I am asking you to help raise money so that girls all over the world will have access to soccer. Your contributions will allow these girls to have mentorship, equipment, and spaces to play the game that I love. In addition, I will be holding bake sales as well as bracelet sales, the money raised from these sales will be donated to Charity Ball which is an organization that believes in level playing fields where every kid gets the opportunity to play soccer—especially girls. Thank you for your support.
